Philadelphia, PA-URGENT dogs need foster/adopt/rescue

UPDATE 7/13! Several of the animals have found homes, please help these three! The following dogs are at the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. The shelter is full and euthanizing for room. The following dogs need rescued/fostered/or adopted asap! Click the link below each picture to go to that dog’s info.

Scoop: EUTHANIZED!

Scoop (A04704709) is a pretty and thin 1-2 year old female Hound-Terrier mix. Poor Scoop has been bounced around. She came in as a stray very fearful and was sent out to foster care, but was returned from foster because she played to rough with the foster family’s small dog. Scoop is good with children and adults, but does need to learn boundaries and manners. She is responsive to training and correction but may get distracted at times. She is pretty and friendly and very playful once she warms up with you. She is stressing very hard at the shelter and needs to leave immediately.

    I filll bad for these animals and think that what they go through is terrible. I rescue my dog Lacey and she has never been so happier.

    Can you please help me. I am trying to find temporary housing for a two year old dog in the Philadelphia PA area. The owner needs to go into treatment and is devastated by having to leave his dog and does not want to get rid of him. He financially can not afford boarding and is in desperate need to find foster care for a few months only. Can you assist me in any way with contacts? Thanks for your help!
